C. Craig Covrett was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio. He married Susan L. Purcell in 1970. Susan is an advanced placement English Teacher at Emmanuel Christian School in Toledo.
Craig and Susan have two sons. One of their sons is married to an attorney.
Craig attended the University of Toledo and received a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in 1970. He continued his education at the University of Toledo College of Law and received a Juris Doctor Degree in 1973. Craig started his career at the Toledo Trust Company in the Trust Department as a trust administrator. Craig went into the private practice of law in 1977.
Craig has been a speaker at various civic and church organizations over the years on the topic of estate planning and elder law. He has established hundreds of trusts during his law career.
Craig is a member of the following organizations: The Toledo Bar Association (and its Probate and Estate Planning and Elder Law Committee), The Ohio State Bar Association (and its Elder Law Committee), The National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, The Toledo Estate Planning Council, and the Christian Legal Society.
Over the years, Craig has served on various bar association committees as well as community and charitable boards.
