Transfer on Death Deed

Did you know that even if you have a valid Will, the title to your real estate may go through probate court upon your death. This may or may not be appropriate in your particular case. The State of Ohio has a law that says that the title of your real estate in Ohio can be “transferred on death.” This means that the title of your home could go directly to your loved ones without going through probate court. This would save substantial fees and costs and time for your loved ones.

Transfer on Death Motor Vehicle Titles

Ohio also has a law that says that your motor vehicles can likewise pass directly to your loved ones upon your death without going through probate court. This is called a “transfer on death” provision on the title of your motor vehicle.

Mr. Covrett would be glad to talk with you about any of these issues and answer any questions you may have. You are welcome to give him a call at 419-535-1840, or contact him through our contact form.
